Terror Detainees Moving The Land Of Lincoln:
President Barack Obama has decided to move some of the roughly 215 war-on-terror prisoners at Guantanamo Bay to an empty state prison in rural Illinois, about 150 miles west of Chicago.

“Today, the administration will announce that the President has directed that the federal government proceed with the acquisition of the Thomson Correctional Center in Thomson, Illinois to house federal inmates and a limited number of detainees from Guantanamo Bay, Cuba,” an administration official said Tuesday morning.

Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) and Gov. Pat Quinn (D-Ill.), who both support the move, are expected to visit the White House Tuesday afternoon to be briefed on the decision.
Interesting. I wonder what Illinoisans think of this move? Are there any readers out there from The Prairie State who'd like to weigh in on the subject? Anyone else?
