Harold Ford: How NOT To Start A Campaign

Amongst all of the other terrible nuggets from his interview with the New York Times, this one rises to the top. In response to the very simple question, "Jets or Giants?", Ford says:
I had breakfast about every morning when I am in town, or I should say, several mornings, at the Regency. I see my friends the Tisches. [Giants owner] Steve Tisch is my close personal friend. I have been to more Giants games. I spent the holidays, I had lunch over the holidays with [Jets owner] Woody Johnson. We met for the first time. I am happy for his team.
You got that New Yorkers? Harold Ford, Jr., when pressed about his favorite football team, responds by talking about having breakfast at swanky establishments and his friendships with the owners of each of the teams.

Surely a man of the people.
