'Chris Christie Is A Communist Whore'

I haven't cracked open the mailbag in a long time, and this one was too good to pass up. A comment from "XNOPR":
Governor Chris Christie is being lauded as a conservative--too bad he is not! Chris Christie's partial fiscal conservatism does not make him a conservative. I say partial in part because he is not going far enough in cutting the fat and he is using sixty five billion dollars of the states "cap and trade" scheme [Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative] to balance the budget. Chris Christie said of 2011, "Next year, we plan on getting back to RGGI." Carbon is not a poison--its a scam--"cap and trade" is Soviet style communism! Chris Christie is no conservative--no true conservative would be a supporter of "cap and trade"--if he were a conservative he would be doing away with the state's "cap and trade" scheme to steal tax dollars away from the NJ state residents. Chris Christie also supports the progressives [communists] Mike Castle and Meg Whitman. Chris Christie is also like the above two communists he supports, no true supporter of the second amendment--Chris Christie is a progressive communist whore.
Whaaa?!

Okay first of all, I Googled the phrase "Governor Chris Christie is being lauded as a conservative--too bad he is not!" and the search revealed several websites that have had this exact comment posted verbatim. So... this dude is a spammer. He trolls websites looking to cut and paste his commentary.

But moreover, I'm certain that the term "Communist" does not mean what Mr. XNOPR thinks it means. If XNOPR met Governor Christie, and levied this absurd allegation to his face, I'm sure that Mr. Christie would laugh it off. More likely, Governor Christie would verbally bitch-slap XNOPR -- which would no doubt make it's way to YouTube and provide us political nerds with some good 30-second entertainment.

But alas, this is the political environment in which we find ourselves -- when a conservative governor is called a "Communist" because he supported a couple of other moderate Republicans or because he supports one piece of Democratic legislation.

What irks me the most is that these hyper-partisan folks seem to think that if a person/politician/celebrity does not agree with 100% of their political ideology, then they are somehow inferior or insufficient. Douchenozzle James O'Keefe is the same way; he wanted to burn that CNN reporter simply because he felt that her politics (and the politics of her employer) were different from his.

Clearly, Governor Chris Christie is not a liberal, socialist, Communist or any other scary word you can conjure up. He is a pragmatic Republican who was elected to, and is governing over a relatively blue state.
