Back Up And Running

After a surprisingly long weekend, I'm back in the saddle at work. I've spent the better part of my morning getting my office (re)organized, after being out for most of last week in Philadelphia.

It is truly amazing how -- despite how much I love blogging everyday -- once you take a small break, it is very difficult to get back into the swing of things. I have spent the majority of my lunch hour staring at my monitor with disgust, trying to think of what to write.

So, there.

The trip to Philly last week was fantastic (and you can follow all of my random thoughts on the Twitter feed), but truthfully, I was extremely pleased to be done with it and back home.

This past weekend was also a busy one. Saturday evening, TPW and I took the kids to see "Kung Fu Panda 2" at the theater (in 2-D -- because I'm not paying an extra $5 for stupid glasses). The kids loved the flick -- and I highly recommend it if you (or your kids) enjoyed the first film. On Sunday, The Pajama Family set about the arduous task of cleaning out our basement and shed at the World Headquarters.

That. Sucked.

Despite living in our home for less than a year, we continually accumulate... well, stuff. We wound up filling the bed of a truck and making a delivery to a local charity. Now, I am actually able to freely walk around in our shed -- and park our bicycles with ease.

Yesterday, prior to our Memorial Day grilling festivities, my father-in-law helped me drag move a jungle-gym-thingie to my back-yard, piece-by-piece. It is heavy. And dirty. Now, I'll need to rent a power-washer so that I can knock off the years of dust, pollen and mildew.

Only then will my kids be able to enjoy it.

So, you are now officially caught-up on the goings-on in the past week. Hopefully, the blogging cob-webs have now been sufficiently cleaned out and I will be able to resume my normal posting schedule...
