Newt Gingrich's Flailing Campaign

Only a week into this thing and already Newt is doing some pretty fantastical verbal gymnastics:

Yes. You heard him correctly:
Any ad which quotes what I said Sunday is a falsehood.
Ummm.... yeah. This, in response to his own comments on Sunday:
I don't think right-wing social engineering is any more desirable than left-wing social engineering. I don't think imposing radical change from the right or the left is a very good way for a free society to operate. I think we need a national conversation to get to a better Medicare system with more choices for seniors.
... comments which he has now apologized to Congressman Paul Ryan for making.

So, any opposition ad (from a Democrat or, presumably a Republican?) is being dishonest by offering up a direct quote from Gingrich himself.


Not to mention the Gingrich's Tiffany's problem (and get a load of Calista's stare in that picture!) or the various negative encounters at events that have dogged the former Speaker.
