The Ever-Moving Republican Primary Contests

The Iowa GOP's Central Committee on Monday set Jan. 3 as the date for the state's presidential caucuses. The move leaves New Hampshire as the only state left without a set date for its presidential nominating contest. New Hampshire Secretary of State Bill Gardner has said he will select a date that keeps the state at least seven days before Jan. 14, when the Nevada caucus is scheduled, and has not ruled out moving the primary into December.
I suppose that this isn't all-that-surprising, given the shift in dates that Florida provoked (which was not received well by South Carolina).

So, this means that many caucus voters in Iowa will still be hung over from their New Year's celebrations when they head out to vote for their Republican candidate-of-choice. Should make some interesting b-roll footage for the cable nets.
