President Obama Signs Payroll Tax Cut Bill

It is done then. Politico:
President Barack Obama on Friday signed a bill extending payroll tax cuts and unemployment benefits for two months and then urged Congress "to keep working without drama" to extend them through 2012 when it returns in January.

After his remarks in the White House briefing room, Obama was scheduled to depart for Hawaii for his Christmas vacation - a vacation that at one point was in doubt because of an impasse with the House over the two-month extension that was finally resolved Thursday.

"Thank you, guys. Aloha," Obama said as he left the briefing room.
... at least until next year.
