The War On Christmas... Cards

This is the official 2011 White House Christmas Card. I think that, honestly, it is a rather bland representation of the holiday season. Sure, you've got the warmth of a fireplace, some nice decorations, gifts on a table, and Bo peacefully resting in front of the fire. But I feel like I could go to Hallmark and find a dozen cards that are better (then again, I like funny Christmas cards).

But, what does Sarah Palin see?
Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin told Fox News & Commentary that she found the card to be a bit unusual.

“It’s odd,” she said, wondering why the president’s Christmas card highlights his dog instead of traditions like “family, faith and freedom.”

Palin said the majority of Americans can appreciate the more traditional, “American foundational values illustrated and displayed on Christmas cards and on a Christmas tree.”

As for the Obama card, she replied, “It’s just a different way of thinking coming out of the White House.”
Yes! How dare the Obamas besmirch this most pallid of traditions: the Christmas greeting card?!

I wonder what kind of cards Fox sends out? Or what kinds of cards were sent out by a real Christmassy president like Ronald Reagan?

I have to say, this is the stupidest sh*t I have ever seen. Sarah Palin (and Fox) are attacking the Presidential Christmas card? REALLY?
