More as it develops...

UPDATE: CNN has the news too, with a bonus quote:
Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum will announce he will suspend his campaign on Tuesday at an event in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, a senior adviser to the campaign told CNN.

A second source told CNN that Santorum, his wife, and campaign manager held a conference call with staff Tuesday, advising them not to grow discouraged.

"We are going to stay involved and stay active in the next couple of months," Santorum said, according to the source.
UPDATE #2: Annnnnnd, I just finished watching the live feed of Santorum's announcement. He has officially suspended his campaign for the Republican nomination.

UPDATE #3: Mitt Romney's campaign has released a statement regarding Rick Santorum's departure:
Senator Santorum is an able and worthy competitor, and I congratulate him on the campaign he ran. He has proven himself to be an important voice in our party and in the nation. We both recognize that what is most important is putting the failures of the last three years behind us and setting America back on the path to prosperity.
...although it has been noted ad nauseum that Rick Santorum never mentioned Romney in his speech.

UPDATE #4: via GOP12, here is video of Santorum's speech earlier today.
